In Loving Memory of Frank Stark
February 27, 1934 - June 27, 2025
Frank Stark, a devoted husband, proud veteran, and beloved patriarch, passed away peacefully at his home in Holbrook, New York, on June 27, 2025, at the age of 91 surrounded by his loving family.
Born on February 27, 1934, in Smithtown, Frank's life journey took him across many parts of Long Island and New York City-from Smithtown to the Bronx, then to Brentwood, Sayville, and finally Holbrook, where he spent his final years surrounded by family and love, many with his beloved dog Bandit.
Frank served his country with honor as a member of the United States Air Force, working in the Military Police during the Korean War. After his military service, he continued to protect and serve his community as a proud member of the FDNY for 17 years.
Frank was married to the love of his life, Mary Stark, for an incredible 71 years. Together, they built a family rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering strength. Frank was a devoted father to Dianne Ungaro and Frank Stark, and he was predeceased by his cherished daughter, Julia Fried and his son-in-law, Vincent Ungaro.
He leaves behind a lasting legacy through his grandchildren: Vincent Ungaro, Jessica Panico, Frank Stark, Dylan Stark, Lauren Fried, and Kimberly Fried; and his great-grandchildren: Maureen Ungaro, Vincent Ungaro, Jack Panico, and Michael Panico. His family was his pride and joy, and he brought smiles and strength to each generation.
Frank had a deep passion for golf and photography, always capturing the beauty of life through a lens or a perfectly timed swing. But perhaps what he'll be remembered for most was his rare gift-the ability to make others laugh, even in the most unexpected moments. His humor, warmth, and dependability touched all who knew him.
Frank Stark lived a life of service, joy, and deep love. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
