Frank J. Stiefel

Frank J. Stiefel, 96, of Princeton Junction, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Yonkers, NY, Frank was a graduate of Manhattan Prep High School and then continued on to graduate from their college, Manhattan College in 1952, with a B.S. in chemistry. Frank met his wife, Genevieve, while he was in college, and they were married in 1953 in Bronx, NY. After living for a couple of years in the Bronx, they moved to Dayton, NJ, before finally settling in Princeton Junction, NJ, for the next 65 years. Frank worked for Carter-Wallace Labs as an organic chemist for his career. Frank's job provided an opportunity for him and Genevieve to travel often to Europe, and allowed them to see and explore many wonderful places.
In his spare time, Frank loved to play golf and was part of a league through Carter-Wallace. He eventually became a member at Peddie Golf Course where you could find him most days playing 18 holes with his buddies. He was lucky enough to achieve 3 holes-in-one, and often told the story of how expensive that feat actually was. You had to buy drinks for the clubhouse!
Frank was very involved with his town. He served on the Planning Board for over 25 years and served in other capacities as well. He was also a member of the local Lions Club.
Predeceased by his parents, Frank J. and Anna (Skiba) Stiefel; his sisters, Louise and Florence and their spouses; and his son, Frank J. Stiefel III and his wife, Tracy; he is survived by his wife of 72 years, Genevieve Stiefel; his daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Donald Edwards, Virginia and Mike Nelms, Joann Stiefel, and Jeanne and Todd Wigder; his 9 grandchildren, Frank J. Stiefel IV (Holly), Will Stiefel, Aili, Aidan, and Austin Edwards, Michael, Anna, and Nicholas Nelms, and Elle Wigder; his great-granddaughter, Myla Guidry; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. There will be a prayer service at 1:00 p.m.
