Frank Suttle Sr., a beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, in Farmington, Missouri at the age of 82. Born on January 11, 1943, in Hawks Nest, West Virginia, Frank spent much of his life dedicated to both his family and his remarkable career.
Relocating from New Jersey to Farmington, Frank was instrumental in the opening of Flat River Glass, where he thrived as the Director of Production. His dedication and passion for the craft led him to travel extensively around the globe in search of molds and custom colors for glass. Throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s, he produced several lines of celebrity cologne bottles, showcasing his extraordinary talent and creativity. After over 40 years of committed service, Frank retired, leaving behind a legacy of excellence in the glass industry.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Frank had a wealth of interests that highlighted his zest for life. He enjoyed showing horses, cultivating beautiful roses, and embracing the great outdoors. His love for adventure took him hunting and riding motorcycles, and he cherished “sweet” moments with cheesecake. Furthermore, Frank found joy in contributing to his friend’s farm, embodying a spirit of camaraderie and hard work.
Frank is survived by his devoted wife, Trula (Huff) Suttle, and their two children: Frank “Michael” Suttle Jr. of Farmington and Diane Beermann, married to Russell, of St. Louis. He was a proud grandfather to Samantha Korn, who brought him immense joy and pride. Frank’s legacy is also carried on by his siblings, Tipp Lacey, Jimmy Suttle (with wife Lucy), and JoAnn Russo (with husband Joseph Edward), along with many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Mamie (Brauney) Suttle, along with his siblings, Ellie Jones, Dreama Tucker, Marie Kozma, Nell Chris, and Ralph Suttle
Frank Suttle Sr. will be lovingly remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his contributions to the art of glass productions, and his vibrant spirit that touched the lives of many. His memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon at Cozean Memorial Chapel, 217 West Columbia Street, Farmington. Interment follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens. View the video tribute and share your condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
