Heaven is now a better place.

Frank G. Svendsen passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025, surrounded by his wife, Oddveig (Engeskaug) Svendsen and daughter, Anne (Svendsen) Schneider.

Frank was born in Oslo, Norway on February 13, 1934. On August 18, 1956, he married the love of his life, Oddveig. Together they built their lives with their two daughters, Bente (Svendsen) Spencer (deceased 2023) and Anne (Svendsen) Schneider in Schaumburg, IL. And just recently celebrated 69 beautiful years of marriage.

Frank is survived by his wife Oddveig; daughter, Anne (Greg) Schneider; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Frank was deeply involved with the Medinah Shriners Hospital, Oriental Band and Jesters for decades. He loved his friends, the Shriners Hospital, music, camping and mostly being with his wife and family as much as he could.

The Svendsen and Schneider Family extends heartfelt thanks to Journey Care Hospice Care and Deer Park Senior Living for their exceptional care.

Per Frank and Oddveig’s request, no services will be held.
