Frank Tripoli, affectionately known to friends and family as "Trip," passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, while in hospital care. Born on January 11, 1938, in Altoona, Frank lived in Williamsport from a young age and was a pillar of the Williamsport community.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Frank had a wonderful zest for life, characterized by his passion for teasing his grandchildren and his gift for making everyone around him laugh.
Frank was a proud graduate of St. Mary's High School. He continued his education at Lycoming College, earning his degree and launching a career as an accountant. He began his professional life at Litton Industries, followed by significant accounting and executive positions at the Williamsport Hospital, North Penn Health, and Williamsport Orthopedic Associates. In addition to his accounting career, Frank was a true entrepreneur, having owned and operated both an auto parts store and a local shooting range.
Frank possessed a wide array of interests and passions. Frank was an avid hunter and a devoted enthusiast of the Corvette and the Boston Celtics. He also loved the lot they had on the Susquehanna River.
Frank was a dedicated community leader, believing strongly in giving back to the place he called home. He was a past member of the Williamsport Kiwanis and served his community by being a dedicated member and chair of the Loyalsock Township School Board. His faith was important to him, and he was a longtime member of St. Ann's Church.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife of many years, Shirley Tripoli, and their eight cherished children: John, Don, Jean, Ron, Linda, Tim, Dan, and Christine. He also leaves behind his brother, Mike Tripoli, as well as sons and daughters-in-law, 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren who will dearly miss his playful spirit and jokes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Josephine Tripoli, and his brother, John.
Frank Tripoli will be remembered as a man of great character, whose laughter, warmth, and commitment to his family and community will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
The family will receive family and friends at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3rd St., Williamsport on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 3 pm to 5 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Church of the BVM, 5973 Jacks Hollow Road,
Williamsport, PA 17702 with the Rev. Michael McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
