Frank Wallin of Springfield, Pennsylvania moved to his new heavenly home on Monday, July 7th, 2025. He was 93. The son of Joseph and Jennie (Jane) Wallin, Frank was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up at 2414 46th street in Pennsauken, New Jersey in a home built by his grandfather and uncles. Although his father died when he was a young boy, his mom carried on faithfully as a wonderful mentor and example to both Frank and his beloved brother, Jack. As a young man Frank was an accomplished Boy Scout and was awarded the Order of the Arrow, which is the National Honor Society of the Boys Scouts of America. At the age of 18 he fell in love with Norma Jean Fisher to whom he was married for 70 years. Frank worked as a steamfitter in the 420 Union for 40 years, much of it with Willard, Inc. He became a highly respected and well-liked foreman for whom and with whom many enjoyed working. He retired in 1993 to become the volunteer foreman for the transformation of Grossman's Lumber into a building where St. Paul's Evangelical (Christ's Bible) Church met for many years. He was also an avid and very skilled hunter with both rifle and bow and arrow. He won many trophies for archery as well as for racing the family Chevy Impala at Atco Speedway. In his early 30's Frank completely changed the direction of his life when he decided to devote himself to following Jesus Christ. This decision transformed him, saved his family and blessed hundreds of people for many decades. He drove the church bus, taught Sunday School, worked countless hours on the church property, became an elder and served for years at the Camden Rescue Mission, all while being a faithful and loving husband and father. He also used his scouting skills to take countless family members, friends and inner city children camping and hiking as they enjoyed the beauty of God's creation. Frank loved his country and was a loyal supporter of several organizations that aided those who have served it. Frank and Norma Jean, who moved to heaven in 2020, raised their four children Andy (Phyllis), Dan, Jeff (Cindi), and Kathy (Rich) in Pennsauken, New Jersey. They later lived in Mount Laurel, New Jersey with Andy before moving to Springfield, Pa where Frank spent his final 6 years living with his son Dan and being greatly encouraged and supported by the companionship of his faithful grandson Jonathan and his loving and entertaining great grandsons Cal and Archer. He is survived by 3 of his children, 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter, whom he had the privilege of meeting in his final weeks of life. Family and friends will have the opportunity to share in the thanksgiving for Frank and the blessings that he brought to their lives at a date that will be published as soon as it is determined. If you would like to make a financial contribution in his honor, Trail Life is an organization that teaches young men the values and skills that helped make Frank the man he became.
Relatives and friends are invited to his graveside services on Friday at 11:00 am at the Locustwood Memorial Park, Rt. 70 in Cherry Hill, NJ. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME,
