Frank James Weaver, 76, of Granger, passed away on April 20, 2022, with his family by his side.
Frank was born on Sept. 24, 1945, in Sturgis, Michigan, to the late Wiler David and Mona Marjorie (Murray) Weaver.
Frank is survived by his children, Mark of McCall, Idaho, and Amy Schreiner of Tucson, Arizona; grandson, Jacob Schreiner of Tucson, Arizona; sister, Sharon (Steve) Bowen of Shipshewana, Indiana; and brother, Maurice of Shipshewana, Indiana; sister-in-law, Shirley of Osceola, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Corinne; and his brother, Larry of Osceola, Indiana.
Frank was a member of 4-H for 12 years, graduated Shipshewana Scott High School in 1963, received a bachelor's degree from Taylor University in 1967 and a master's degree from Ball State in 1970. He also received his CPA Certificate in 1972 and maintained that certification until his retirement in May of 2021. Frank was also a member of the Indiana Freemasons Tyrian Lodge in Goshen, Indiana, since 2004. Frank started his own accounting firm, Frank J. Weaver & Co., CPA, in 1979 and owned it until 2003, after which he sold to his longtime employee, Julie DeFreese. He worked along side her until his retirement in 2021.
Frank was beloved for his kind and generous nature. He devoted countless hours to setting up garage sales and antique shows in support of his wife. His friends enjoyed his keen wit and hearty laughter. Frank liked to stay busy! You could often find him behind the wheel of his riding mower maintaining his property with meticulous care. His clients appreciated his legendary work ethic. When he did take time to relax, Frank enjoyed spending weekends at the lake and attending performances in Shipshewana. His humor, honesty and goodness will be sorely missed by those who knew him.

Dear Mark and Amy,
We are so sorry to hear of your father's death and that we were unable to attend the visitation or funeral. We came to know and love him mostly through the family reunion he and your mom so graciously hosted for many years at the lake. We pray for comfort and peace for you and all his family and friends.

Mark and Amy, I just heard about your father's death today. I and my wife Norma Pressler attended your parent wedding and they attended our wedding. We are so sorry for your loss. I graduated from Shipshewana High School in 1964. Frank and I ran around together in Goshen area before he and Corinne got married. My wife and I now live in Indianapolis, but I have family living in the Goshen area. God bless you and your family.
