Frankie Marion Dixon Roddenberry, age 97, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2025.
Born on November 21, 1927, in Geneva County, Alabama, Frankie was the daughter of O.F. "Rusty" and Florence Adell Dixon. A devoted homemaker, she was also a long-time member of Carrollton First Methodist Church, where her faith and service to others were hallmarks of her life.
Frankie's love of flowers was a passion and she willingly orchestrated countless table arrangements at church and social events. Her 'can-do' spirit resulted in her knitting over 200 Christmas stockings treasured by family and friends.
Frankie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Daniel Alan (Judy) Roddenberry of Carrollton, GA, Kenneth Ray (Josephine) Roddenberry of Jonesville, VA, and Wayne Dixon (Wanda) Roddenberry of N. Ft. Myers, FL. She also leaves behind grandchildren: Mitch Hurt, Ty Roddenberry; Grant Roddenberry, Heather Clancey, and Megan Walker; Lisa Broom, Alex Roddenberry, Jerry Roddenberry, and Ashley Babb; nieces Sue Austin and Jane Dixon and nephews Joe Williams, Billy Joe Dixon, Jr. and Franklin Dixon; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, N. Ray Roddenberry; her parents; her siblings, Lura Williams, Ellwood Coates, and Billy Joe Dixon; and her grandson, Johnny Roddenberry.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Carroll Memory Gardens, with Rev. Ken Stephens officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Ty Roddenberry, Jerry Roddenberry, Tommy Clancey, Brad Walker, and Rawley Heard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Open Hands Christian Ministry, 505 Newnan St., Carrollton, GA 30117.
