Frankie Earl Simmons, age 83, passed away peacefully on December 15th, 2025. Frankie was born October 17th, 1942, to Frank Simmons, and Dorthey Mae Roberts Tatlock, in Terre Haute, Indiana. Frankie worked at Graham Grain as an Elevator Operator, later becoming the Locomotive Operator. Frankie enjoyed spending time with his family, and long county drives. He is survived by his son James Simmons (spouse Koleen Simmons, grandchildren Athena, and Odin Simmons), his sisters Martha Jane Tatlock Salyers (spouse Norton Salyers – deceased) Vicky Tatlock, Rose Simmons, and Cathy Orndorff (spouse Mack Orndorff) his brothers Gary Tatlock (spouse Rebecca), Clavin Tatlock, and Tom Simmons, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. Frankie’s easy-going nature, and stories of his fond childhood memories will be deeply missed. A memorial service with close family members will be held at a later date, and location to be determined. We carry his easy-going nature with us and are forever grateful for the love and life lessons he has shared. Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
