Franklin Hugh Ault, 83, passed away at Schneck Medical Center on the evening of August 29, 2025.

He was born in Spraytown, Indiana on December 15, 1941, to the late Orville Oliver and Emma Viola (Thompson) Ault.

On September 8, 1961, Franklin married the love of his life, Sharon K. Beck. He was a devoted and loving father to their daughters, Tammi Stone and Kelly Peters. After graduating from high school, he began his long-time career at Cummins Engine Inc. as Parts Manager until retiring after 41 years of service. Franklin loved farming, but most of all, loved the time he spent with his family.

Left behind to cherish Franklin's memory are his daughter, Kelly (Larry) Peters; grandchildren, Blake (Megan) Peters, Evan (Shyla) Peters, and Emma (Logan) Martin; great-grandchildren, Keaton Peters, Corbin Peters, Adrian Martin, and great-great-grandchild to arrive in the spring; brother, Jerry Ault; son-in-law, Robbie Stone; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of over 60 years, Sharon K. Ault (Beck); his daughter, Tammi Stone; brothers, Leroy Ault, Howard Ault, Eugene Ault, Robert Ault, Hubert Ault, and Donald Ault; and sisters, Theda Thompson, Opal Trissel, Patricia Ray, Elsie Scott, and Alberta Abrell.

Funeral services for Franklin will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour. Pastor Jerry Van Kuiken of the Spraytown Free Methodist Church will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, September 5, beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and again on Saturday morning from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Franklin will be laid to rest immediately following at Freetown Cemetery.
