Franklin Lee Dunning, age 86 of Addison, New York passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 19, 1937 in Painted Post to Basil and Elsie (Turner) Dunning. He married Gladys Hotaling on July 9, 1955, she preceded him in death on July 29, 2020.
Lee was a generous and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother. He enjoyed camping, fishing, attending the Woodhull Raceway with his good friend Eddie Connett, yard work, mowing his lawn, working in his garage, collecting old toys and fixing them up, a good cup of coffee and porch time with friends
Lee is survived by four children: Debra (Lee) Bills of Addison, Gary (Kristine) Dunning of Bath, Franklin (Abby) Dunning of Lawrenceville, and Tammie Schoup of Quinter, KS; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. Lee was loved by all.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Lee was predeceased by his siblings: Duane Dunning, Shirley Faulkner and Earle Dunning.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Flint Funeral Home 10 Wall Street, Addison, New York. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Judi Savoy officiating. He will be laid to rest alongside Gladys in Woodhull Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lees name may be sent to Woodhull Ambulance Association, 1585 Academy Street, Woodhull, NY 14898.
