Franklin Greenwood Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 26, 2026.
Franklin Ray Greenwood Sr. passed away on March 7, 2026, in Llano, Texas, at the age of 67.

He was born on November 13, 1959, in Burnet, Texas, to Cleva Haliburton and Homer Greenwood.

He is survived by his children, Amanda Reyes and her husband Alejandro Reyes, Stephanie Greenwood, and Franklin Ray Greenwood Jr.; his fiancé, Kayti Yarbrough; his sisters, Lajuana Wimberley, Donna Bistle, Kathy Vaughn and her husband Hardy Vaughn, and Robert Greenwood; his grandchildren, Arianna Hammes and her husband William Hammes, Clinton Pemberton, Paxton Yarbourgh, Franklin Ray Greenwood III, and Macey Greenwood; and his great-grandchildren, Miya Hammes and William Hammes IV, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Greenwood; his parents; his grandson, Corbin Ortiz; his brothers, Billy Don and Printess Greenwood; his half-sister, Shirley Ann; his niece, Tiffany Vaughn Edwards; his brother-in-law Mark Wimberley, and numerous dear friends.

Frankie loved fishing on the Llano and San Saba Rivers, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his grandchildren. He especially enjoyed sitting on the back porch, picking the guitar with family and friends. If you knew Frankie, you knew he loved to joke and tease his grandkids-there was never a dull moment when he got on a roll. He was a talented cook, even if some of his unique creations left you guessing. Above all, he was always willing to lend a hand and had a truly kind and generous heart.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Danny Meagan for all he has done and continues to do.

A celebration of life will be held at Robinson Park in Llano, TX at a later date.
