Franklin R. Wiley

Franklin R. Wiley was born on March 11, 1934, in Freeman, Virginia, on his father's tobacco farm. He was the eldest of seven children born to Oscar and Frances Wiley and grew up alongside his siblings Oscar, John, Joe, Ann, Ellen, and David.

Frank peacefully passed away on January 25, 2026, following a long illness. He was 91 years old.

Frank lived a life centered around love, loyalty, and devotion to his family. He shared 71 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Barbara. Together they raised their son, Robert Franklin, and welcomed his wife, Teridale, into their family. Frank is also survived by his grandson, Michael Austin, and Michael's fiancée, Alicia.

He also leaves behind his cherished Shih Tzus, Molly and Kali, who brought him great comfort and were truly his pride and joy.

Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army for three years and continued his dedication through service in the Army Reserves for several years thereafter.

Frank built a remarkable career with The Breeden Company, where he worked for 49 years. Beginning as a superintendent on the company's first townhouse project, he rose through the ranks and retired as Senior Vice President in 2024. His strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment left a lasting legacy.

Frank will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, loyal friend, and hardworking professional whose kindness and steady presence touched many lives.

Services to be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, 1264 Great Neck Rd. N, Virginia Beach, VA 23454.

Visitation-Friday, February 13, 6:00 – 8:00 PM

Memorial Service-Saturday, February 14, 12:00 PM

Interment to follow Saturday's service at Princess Anne Memorial Cemetery.
