Just a fan.

So Sad to hear of Freds passing. Was just thinking of him the other day. Although i haven't seen him in quite a few years our Families were always close. Our summer vacations were spent with him and his Family in Monongahela. He was such a positive in my life growing up. Trying to locate his family the past several years had been hard since my sister, Pat, passed away. Our Grandfathers came to the US together. Fred was a good person and a very kind person. He surely will be missed. RIP Fred

In all the years I knew Fred he always had a smile on his face. we had a lot of great flights together and I cherish those flights together. He was always supportive and i will not forget him.

I am so sorry to read of this. Fred Cox was one of my Vikings hero's as a kid. I had all the cards and jerseys and you name it, I wore it. I didn't know that he was involved with the Nerf thing. That's really amazing!

Deepest sympathy to the family. I grew up in the neighbor hood with Fred and hung out at Cox's Grocery with the rest of the kids where Fred worked at times. I always admired Fred's strong character.

Just a Vikings fan growing up in Iowa and seeing you kick in the old Met. Loved seeing you work your leg . Would try to emulate you on the playground at home. Godspeed Fred!

My memories of Fred are of his faithfulness. After home games, Fred would show up at Sunday evening service at Edina Baptist. A very humble Christian husband and father. He will be sorely missed, but we will be with him again, with Christ, in heaven!

My Dad took me to meet Mr. Cox at his parents convenience store in Monongahela PA, back in the 1960s when I was a kid. Always admired him for his talents, condolences to his family and friends.

Fred was a special friend and father figure to me. I am forever grateful for his kindness and support during an unsettled time in my life. I could not have chosen a better man to walk me down the aisle on my wedding day. May you rest in the peace of Christ. Hugs to Bonnie.

Fred was a good mentor and friend. He was a Board member at Northwestern College of Chiropractic. He was a very genuine and down to earth person and will be forever missed by those who knew him.

So sad to see this, I grew up watching Fred Cox kick for the Minnesota Vikings, one of the Best NFL kickers of all time. My thoughts and prayers are with the Cox family during this difficult time.
