Fred Kimpel

Fred Kimpel age 80, of Lima died 1:32 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009 at Baton Rouge Nursing Home. He was born Aug. 27, 1929 in Lima to Paul Fredrick and Opal Thornsberry Kimpel, both parents are deceased. He married Magdalena Baber Aug. 16, 1953 and she survives in Lima. Survivors include 4 son: Dean (Chiyoko) Kimpel of Botkins, Dan (Loris) Kimpel of Sidney, Garry (Lee) Kimpel of West Milton and Randy Kimpel of Lima, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Gloria Zerbe. Mr. Kimpel had been a letter carrier and served in the Korean Conflict with the U. S. Army. He enjoyed Hunting and fishing and was a member of the Knights of Phythian. The family will receive friends 2- 4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday Nov. 2 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral service will begin 2:00 p.m., Tuesday Nov. 3, 2009 at the funeral home with Minister Mike Stewart officiating and burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
