Mr. Fred E. Sizemore, 95, of Linwood, North Carolina, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at Wake Forest Baptist Health.
Born December 22, 1930, in Hazard City, Kentucky, Fred was a hardworking, down-to-earth man who lived life with determination. He once owned the Chatterbox Restaurant in Winston-Salem, but his true passion was the open road. A dedicated truck driver, Fred drove coast to coast for many years until his retirement.
In his spare time, he enjoyed cheering for the Cincinnati Reds and playing cards, especially a good game of spades. Fred dedicated himself to his country, serving twice in the United States Army, including during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Delta Sizemore, and his four sons, Freddie, Gary, Jeff, and Barry Sizemore.
Fred is survived by his daughter, Joyce Damron (Dennis); daughters-in-law, Tammy Sizemore and Brenda Sizemore; twelve grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
There will be no formal services held. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is serving the Sizemore family.
