Fred E. Spencer, age 68 of Romeoville, IL passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He was born on November 21, 1957 in Chicago, IL the son of Robert and Phyllis (Neveau) Allan.

Fred was united in marriage on December 15, 2012 to Susan Gratien and they have spent the next 13 years happily together. He was employed by the plumbing union and then self-employed for many years as a plumber. Mr. Spencer attended Village Bible Church in Plano, IL. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Fred is survived by his wife, Susan Gratien of Romeoville, IL; his children, Robert Spencer of Chicago, IL, Freddy Spencer of Chicago, IL, Wayne Spencer of Chicago, IL, Ashley Spencer of Chicago, IL and Giovani Spencer of Plano, IL; his step-children, William Schultz, Laura (Andrew) Wagner, Abby Schultz, Ashley (Carlos) Garcia, and Katherine Wilkinson; his grandchildren, Hannah, Ella, Brianna Spencer, Mila Schultz, Mason VanTholen, Collin VanTholen, Cody VanTholen, Isiah Rodriguez, Camila Rodriguez, Eloisa Rodriguez, Wyatt Wilkinson, Elijah Garcia, Zayden Garcia, Ariella Garcia, Sebastian Garcia, Ruby Garcia, Callum Garcia, Everly Garcia, Laura Sircher, Michael Keith, and Jadyn Spencer; his one great-grandson, Demiri Daley; his brothers, Michael Baio of California and John Baio of Romeoville, IL; his sisters, Bernice (Robert) Evans of Romeoville, IL Tracy Allan of Villa Park, IL; and his brother-in-law of Robert Valentine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Phyllis Allan; his sisters, Ruth Valentine and Christine Allan; his brothers, Paul Robert Baio, John A. Baio and Robert Allan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Village Bible Church, 1111 W. South Street, Plano, IL.
