Fred Strain, 75, of Gainesville, MO passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at his residence surrounded by family. He was born January 21, 1948, in Pottstown, PA to Fred H. and Irene (Orost) Strain. Fred was a member of the Clarkridge Church of Christ. He loved working in his shop, traveling with his wife, Jeannie and his greatest accomplishment being a crane operator. Fred was known for being able to weld, fabricate and repair anything for neighbors, friends and family. He was willing to drop anything and help someone in need. Fred could mechanic everything from cranes to rebuilding engines. He hiked down to Phantom Ranch and back out of the Grand Canyon, was fond of taking razors and four-wheelers up on 14ers in Colorado and loved going to the family cabin on Bryant River. Fred is preceded in death by his parents.
Fred is survived by his wife, Jeannie Strain; a son, Tony (Rosario) Strain; a daughter, Tammy (Nelson) Doebler; one brother, Ronald (Joyce) Strain; two sisters, Connie (Gene) Thompson and Coleen (Tony) Miller; three grandchildren, Cassy, Ruthanne and David and many more church family and friends.
