Fred is survived by his wife of 51 beautiful years, Karen of Saline, children Mark (Laura) Twichell of Spring Arbor, Scott (Angie) Twichell of Port Huron and Jody Twichell of Saline. Grandchildren Abbey Twichell, Rylee DePuey, Nathan DePuey, Ryan (Alyssa) Rockford, Taylor McNeil and Dylan McNeil, and a great-granddaughter Isabella. He is also survived by siblings Jerry (Gloria) Twichell, Jim (Karen) Tice, Bobby Twichell, Bonnie Jackson, Linda (Don) Hill and many nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, brother Danny Tice, and brother-in-law Larry Jackson.

Fred proudly served his country for 2 years in the United States Army and was stationed in Vietnam. When his service ended, he returned home and went to work full-time at Ford Motor Company where he retired after 35 years.

Fred was lovingly known as Dad, Pops, Uncle Fred and Papa T. by so many. He loved his family and friends unconditionally! His ability to make one feel welcomed and loved right away was a true gift!

Many of his favorite pastimes included spending time outdoors camping, feeding and watching birds, or watching the kids and grandkids play their respective sports!

He also passionately supported all University of Michigan and Detroit professional sports.
