Fred White

To Fred White's past transition, of eternal rest now throughout. He was of greatness and then beyond. As a true musician, a bona-fide drummer to perfection. I did attend vast majority of the concerts, because Earth, Wind, & Fire, was the ultimate group. Within the universe, international ly acclaimed, and locally throughout many a venue. Excellent , superb members, refined to the highest status. Beautifully set to captivating audiences, who deeply, sincerely appreciated their gifts of musical talents. Fred himself, could never be forgotten. He always an Icon in a class by itself. He stood.out. I couldn't believe we'd lose him. Andrew Woolfolk, Maurice, a blessed, alluring human being ever, to introduce the original 9 members, who consisted of nonstop individuality, to.grace a stage, arena, stadium, worldwide. Maurice was well endowed, partnered, collaborated with Ramsey Lewis, etc. Fred White, Verdine White, his sibling, was also extraordinary. All exclusive, Fred whose no longer with us, left a seed of legacy. Truly admired him to the utmost. May he continue to rest in peace. Amen.

Fred White was one of my favorite drummers. His smile was infectious and he played with all his might. He is sorely missed. I still jam to the songs where he plays the drums, I watch videos and just enjoy all of what he contributed to Earth Wind Fire. Rest in peace sir my forever condolences to his family. You are a shining star my friend.

Fred Whitewas the drummer for Earth, Wind & Fire in the 1970s and ‘80s, including on such hits as “September” and “Shining Star.” The Earth, Wind & Fire band brought much joy from the great music they give too all. He will be truly miss. May family, friends and extended family cherish his memories and his music. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Fred White. May his remarkable music ability as a drummer keep his memory alive forever.

I'd like to share my condolences,
to the White Family. Fred was an iconic drummer of Earth, Wind and Fire. Throughout many years of his performances. He was soo amazing as such. Family, people, oriented lovingly as ever.
There's a lot of memories to cherish, at this time of his sudden passing. May God give comfort to Verdine White, his older sibling now who remains, to carrying out the legacy. All the friends and colleagues as well! I extend my gratitude of him being, an avid humble performer to the world of music. May eternal peace be with him, now. Fred was a mainstay, Hallmark, also Monumental as a personal keepsake. I'm pleased as an elder now, to have had the pleasure, of seeing all his performances live. At age 27 throughout, now I'm 74 plus.

I was truly inspired by Earth Wind & Fire and Fred White's drums when I played drums in high school, 1975 - 1978. My sincere condolences to the White family.

A loss to the music world for sure, an incredible drummer who made a huge contribution to music, so many unforgettable songs. Prayers for the White family.

What a long and illustrious career. He was part of an amazing group and family, but he was a force in his own right. A truly talented musician and performer. So very sorry for this loss to the White family and Earth, Wind and Fire. May God be with you all as you endure this very difficult time of your loss.

I was so lucky to see Earth, Wind and Fire in person and meet them after their performance... I loved them for their work and personal beliefs. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.
