Freda Eleanor "Ellie" Heiney Ciarcia, 93, of Aurora, passed away September 11, 2025 at her residence. Ellie was born March 27, 1932 in Grantsville, WV to Howard and Retta {nee Hosey} Heiney.

She enjoyed the outdoors and loved gardening and spent hours with her flowers. She was known for her spaghetti sauce, being selfless, hospitable, and thoughtful. Loved to play games. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Ellie will be deeply missed by her husband, Emanuel "Manny" Ciarcia of Aurora OH, daughter, Sherri Ciarcia Hostetler (fiancé Chip) of Punta Gorda, FL, late daughter, Carolyn "Jo" Doolan (Dan) of New Lyme, OH, Late sons David & Kevin Freed of Anatone WA, son Nick (Theresa) Ciarcia of Eastlake, OH, grandchildren, Taylor Hostetler of Charleston SC, Broc Hostetler of Columbus OH, Stymie (Robin) Doolan of Bowling Green OH, Matt (Joanna) Doolan of Geneva OH, Kayla (Jeff) Stroup of Ashtabula OH, Craig (Mandy) Freed and Jessica (Ed) Larlee Freed all of WA, 10 great-grandchildren, sisters Birtie (Jake) Newbrough of Brohard, WV, Juanita (Bobbie) Reynolds and Grace Wilson (Jim) both of Parkersburg.

Ellie is also leaving behind countless Neighbors and Friends that were considered Family. Also an Ex Son-in-Law Lee Hostetler.

Ellie was preceded in death by her parents Howard & Retta Heiney, brothers Forest, Harry, Donald, Denver, Charles and Buddy Heiney and sisters Geneva Snyder, Marie Mascoline, and Lela Reeder.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Steinbauer Funeral Home, 33375 Bainbridge Road, Solon. Funeral services will follow from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. following the visitation at the funeral home with Reverend Mark Thomas officiating. Entombment will be at Aurora Cemetery.
