Freda Pauline "Penny" Larson

Celebrating the life of Freda Pauline Sheets/Larson, fondly known as Penny, who was born on October 20, 1929, and passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025. Penny was deeply cherished for her loving and supportive nature.

Memorial Service will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at First United Methodist Church.

A bright and diligent student, Penny completed her studies at a business school before her notable tenure as an Avon representative. Her professional career was marked by kindness and efficiency, characteristics that endeared her to all who knew her.

Penny was a devout attendee of First United Methodist Church in Wichita, where she was engaged in numerous church activities, including the 50/50 class. Always active and socially engaged, she enjoyed golf and participated enthusiastically in her local bridge club. Penny's happiest moments, however, were spent surrounded by her family, particularly her grandchild and great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched profoundly.

She will be dearly remembered for her philanthropic efforts and numerous charitable donations, which have left an indelible mark on her community.

Penny leaves behind a loving family, including her children, Patrick (Catherine Clark) Sheets, Paula (Curtis) Everett; stepchildren, Greg, Tim, Dan, and Amy Larson; grandchild, Annie (Jeremy) McCully; great-grandchildren, Nate Leonard and William McCully.

She is preceded in death by her dear parents, Elmo and Eliza Cannon; her husbands, William Sheets and Wallace Larson; and her eight siblings.

Memorial contributions in honor of Penny can be directed to the First United Methodist Church, 330 N. Broadway St., Wichita, KS 67202, an institution that meant a great deal to her throughout her life.

Penny will be remembered for her warmth, her generosity, and the comfort she provided to all who were fortunate to be in her presence.
