Freda Stoicu

Stoicu, Freda, 90, a longtime resident of Roseville, passed away peacefully at her home. Freda was born on December 17, 1923 to Goff & Columbia Pinnell in Berkley, Michigan. She enjoyed 63 years of marriage to John A. Stoicu who passed away in October 21, 2004. Freda is survived by her children, Sondra Grasham, John A. Stoicu, Jr., Martha (Steve) Conaway and Mary Myers; grandchildren, the late Brenda, Heather Stoicu, Andrew Stoicu, Joseph Conaway, Gina (Jason) Cossin, Scott (Sherri) Conaway, Matthew Myers, Christy (Nathan) Fox, Jimmy Myers; great-grandchildren, Nicole Hunt, Amber Niedermaier, McKenna Conaway, Jordan Conaway, Jacob Fox and Evan Fox. Five great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Patsy and Belinda also survive.
Freda enjoyed watching CNN and was very political, "up on everything". She spent summers at her cottage in Port Sanilac (built by Freda and John) cherishing natures wonders and the serenity and peace of the area. Her children remember trips to the beach along with the warnings involved! She was praised as a good cook by her children as well.
