Dear Family and Friends,

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Freda Odessa Ward, age 87, who went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2026, following a brief illness. Freda was born on March 23, 1939, in Pomeroy, Ohio to the late Aldene and Ruby Crutchfield- Ridley.

She was preceded in death by husband Luther B. Ward, daughter Patricia Billings, brothers Roger, Frankie and William Ridley, and sister Barbara Amison. Freda leaves to mourn her beloved daughter Anita Evans, son Eric Johnson, grandsons Adrian Arrington, Terrell, Marcus and Termaine Billings, granddaughter Erica Johnson, great-grandchildren Devontae, Brenner, Jaleel, and Jayla Arrington, Sister Vivian Williams, sister-in-law Betty and Wiladean Ridley, brother Phil Ridley, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

A special friends Samuel Currie, Robert Draughu, and the New Calvary Missionary Baptist Church family, and friends at West Fayetteville Dialysis Center.

From Sister/Mother Ward:

"I will see you all again. So don't weep, fell my love for you in every sunrise hello and sunset."

At decedents request no services or viewing. Cremation only.
