Mr. Freddie Lee Green Sr. passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Center. Age 68 years. He was born June 5, 1957, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Freddie and Zetna Green.
Freddie graduated from Saginaw High School, Class of 1976. He worked at the Saginaw Malleable Iron Plant and was a member of U.A.W. Local 455. Later in life, Freddie went on to have a successful career for many years at the Ford Plant in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Freddie was known for his love for Michigan and Detroit Lions football. Freddie enjoyed cooking (Pinto Beans & Rice), spending time with family, or asking his favorite question at times, Right? or Wrong? Freddie was known for his overly protective nature of his family, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Freddie's presence will be missed by all who loved him.
Freddie leaves to cherish his memory three children, Nekeidra Green, Freddie Jr. (Monica) Green, and Kenneth Green; five sisters, Kathleen (Sandy) Bledson, Clara (Henry) Stephens, Joyice Green, Annie Green-Carr, and Janice (Demetrius) Humes; nineteen grandchildren; Ty’Eisha, Brionna, Ny’Asia, Stephon, Freddie III, De’Monica, De’Anthony, Josiah, La’Tayvia, Ja’Kobe, Ka’Mya, Jacob, Cortez, Alexis, Shaniyah, Kaiden, Kaleb, Kennedy, and Nasir, seven great-grandchildren, Zariah, E’Zayvion, Zavarion, Braiden, Bri’Aira, Jauane II, and Naviee; one aunt, Annie B. Green, Yazoo City, MS; best friend/brother Gregory Smith, and many more close friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, Zetna Isom and Freddie Green; daughter, Latoya Green; sister, Patricia Green; niece, Aquilla Green; nephew, Darrell Gaines Jr; brothers-in-law, Michael Humes, Bo Freeman, and Sam Carr.
