Fred and Denise,
I can’t begin to imagine the pain you are feeling trying to cope with such an unimaginable loss. We are told “God doesn’t give us more than we can handle, “ I’m sure this wasn’t part of that plan. As parents we question everything we do, being a parent who has to bury their child has to be the ultimate sacrifice . You are faced with “Life’s Cycle “going in reverse. God did not equip us, as parents, the skills necessary to cope with such a devastating loss.
The base of our friendship developed because of our kids. As parents, you were, and still are, the best of the best! Always there, so proud, we laughed as we cried, yelled the loudest but encouraged, went crazy trying to appear sane, never gave up, never quit and certainly never looked back.
We love you guys. I hope at some point you are able to reach out and allow us to share in your grief and celebrate the amazing young man you raised. You are forever in our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers!
