Rochester: Frederic Dorr Burns passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2026 at his home. He was born July 20, 1950 in Brockport to the late Dean and Julia (Sands) Burns.
Dorr was a very intelligent person. He was respected and appreciated by his family and friends. But most important, his deep faith was and is an inspiration to us all.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother-in-law James Logsdon.
Dorr is the beloved brother of Dana Logsdon; companion of Marion Sharpe; uncle of Benjamin (Krysta) Logsdon and Jacob Logsdon; great-uncle of Emma, Isabelle and Silas. He is fondly remembered by other family members and special friends.
He will be laid to rest with his parents at Hillside Cemetery in the spring.
Dorr’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home 16650 State Route 31 Holley, NY.
Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Grace Baptist Church 5220 Lake Rd. South Brockport, NY 14420.
