Frederick Bickford Obituary
Frederick E. "Bing" Bickford, 86, died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 10. Born in Somerville and raised in Billerica, he was a longtime Chelmsford resident. Bing was the devoted and loving husband to Marie "Claire" (Gadbois) Bickford celebrating 61 years of marriage this past October.
He spent most of his career working in the auto industry including owning Tyngsboro Auto Sales. After retiring from car sales, he started Morning Glory Lawncare which kept him active for many years. He enjoyed long car rides throughout New England and trips to Canada with Claire, gardening, being by the ocean watching boats, fried seafood from the Clam Box, and all of the delicious meals and baked delights Claire prepared throughout their many years together.
Proud and fiercely loyal father to Norman, Jon, Russell, and Karyn. He is survived by their spouses, 8 grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law, nieces, nephew, the Kanavas kids, and extended members of the Bickford and Walsh families. Sadly Bing was predeceased by his son Jon and brother Harold.
His Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 16th at 11:30 am at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, 11 Mt. Vernon Rd., BOXFORD. Family and friends welcome to attend - KINDLY GATHER AT THE CEMETERY.
