Frederick Fred Coker

Frederick "Fred" Wayne Coker, 66, passed away in St. Petersburg, FL on Monday, June 20, 2022. He was born in Topeka, KS on May 7, 1956, the son of Harry (Bud) Coker and Barbara Ann (Myers) Coker.
Growing up in the country outside of Meriden, his childhood was spent with an appreciation for family, the outdoors, fishing, and hunting. He attended Jefferson West High School in Meriden, KS where with an ornery sense of humor, he only allowed other children on the school bus to address him as "Lord Frederick."
He started his early working years in Topeka working in the construction industry. As an adult, he found his passion and talent in collecting and reselling antique books, furniture, and collectables. He was a lover of motorcycles and was a free spirit traveling the US, living in Houston for a short period before settling in St. Petersburg, FL, where he met the love of his life for the past 35 years, Pamela Pringle. She survives. He is also survived by his siblings, Dennis Reed (Adele), Naples, FL, Bonnie Novak, Forest Park Illinois, Peggy Gibson (Sammy), Lumberton, TX, Patti Lockhart (Mike), Paxico, KS, Harry Coker (Sharon), Holton, KS, Brett Coker (Ron), Northridge, CA and various loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry "Bud" Coker and Barbara Ann May, his stepfather Toby May and a sister Joyce Reed.
Services will be at Barnett Family Funeral Home, Oskaloosa, KS on Saturday, July 9, 2022, with visitation at 10:00 AM and services directly following at 11:00 AM. Graveside services will follow at Meriden Cemetery.
