To all my beloved Dattilo's. I am so aorry about the passing of your husband/father. I only wish that I would have gotten the news in time to join all of you in the mourning and celebrating of your Dad's life. I want each of you to know the wonderful memories and stories of growing up as part of the "first street" gang will always be with me and I hope and pray at this time of loss that each of you will find your own peace. Dear Dattilo family,

I was very sorry to hear about Fred's passing. Being good friends with Celestra gave me the chance to get to know and love Fred. He always knew how to spark an interesting conversation and make me laugh. He was a great man and will be greatly missed.

To all of the Dattilo Family:



Please let me express my sincere sadness at Freddie's death. My brother and I grew up with Freddie and his family in downtown Madison.

In fact, I sat at their dinner table many many times and played in their attic and spent the night with Marina during my childhood. This part of the Dattilo family have always felt like "family" to me. I'm so sorry I was unable to attend visitation. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers, as is Molly. Frankie, Patty, Johnny, Marina and Jeannie, you know I love you all.

I always enjoyed talking to Fred and getting to know him while I was getting to know the Church. I usually walked away laughing. Our prayers will be with you as they have been with you since Molly has been missing. Always remember the plan of salvation.

Fred will be missed, I know every time our paths would cross we would have to spend a few minutes just finding out about each others family. He had such a gift in his sculpures. Fred was a gentleman and I was proud to call him a friend. Sorry for your loss...

To Cherie and the Dattilo children:



Please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of your husband, Cherie, and your father. I watched you kids grow up, right along with my own children on 2nd Street in Madison. So much of what I remember about Madison is tied to those relationships. God bless all of you in your grief. God bless you in your continued search for Molly Laura. Fred was absolutely one of a kind. And I wonder how many know the magnitude of his contributions.

My deepest sympathies to Cherie and all you kids at Fred's passing. I remember all nine of you growing up just a block away from me on West Second Street when I lived at the old Ault Apartments. Fred always had something to say, and it was always uniquely "Fred." He was a character, in the best sense of that word. In personality and outlook he didn't resemble anyone else -- just Fred. He had the courage to approach life in the way he thought best, rather than in the way "society" might have taught him was "appropriate" -- and how many people can you say that of?

You had a unique husband and father. As you honor his memory, remember that, too.

I was so sorry to hear about

Freddie's passing. I just saw and

talked with him at Wal-Mart about

two weeks ago. He always had a

smile and something to tell you. I

went to school with Freddie & have

known him all my life since I am

just a year older than he is he was

always a friend to everyone who met

him. I am sure he is in a better

place right now and the angels are

watching over him and also his

family. My thoughts and prayers go

out to his family and friends. He

will surely be missed.

Just a note to say how saddened I was to read about Fred's passing. I am a friend of the family through Molly (my daughter Amanda Bell) ran when she did and we would meet with Sherry and Fred at meets and talk about our daughters. To the entire Dattilo Family,



I want to let you know how special you all are and how special your dad was. There was never a time that I saw him that he didn't have some form of wisdom for me. He was amazed that when Cierra was little, she always remembered his name and would always say hi to him.

He was very proud of all of his children. He would tell me who was where and what you were doing.

Please know the Lord will help you through this trying time. Don't forget to lean on your friends, that is what we are here for.

I was very deeply saddened to hear of Fred Dattilo's death. I spent quite a bit of my childhood at his house because his daughter Tara was my best friend. He was a very interesting man and my love and prayers are with his entire family.
