Frederick Rivers Haley

Frederick "Fred" Rivers Haley, 78, of Orangeburg, SC, passed away February 1, 2022.
A graveside service will take place at a future time in Cheraw, SC.
Fred was born in Bennettsville, SC, a son of the late Charles Boyd Haley, Sr. and the late Emma Volina Rivers Haley. He was a graduate of Cheraw High School. Fred was a railroad engineer with CSX. After working with the railroad, he worked as a roofer. He was a veteran in the United States Air Force. Fred was a dedicated Ham radio operator with friends all over the world.
Survivors include his daughter, Stewart Haley of Hamlet, NC; two sons, Charlie Ruppe of Charlotte, NC and Jimmy Haley of Rockingham, NC; two sisters, Eleanor Anderson of Fort Myers Beach, FL and Alice Bunton of Thomasville, NC; two brothers, Rev. David Haley of Leland, NC and Charles Haley of Florence, SC; and seven grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents.
