Frederick Joseph Prather

Frederick Joseph Prather was was born on June 11th, 1940 in Davis, Missouri. He was residing in Spokane Valley, Washington at the time of his death. Fred was married to Joy on January 20, 2018 in Medical Lake, Washington and lived together until his passing.

Fred was a firefighter with the Kansas City Fire Department before spending the majority of his career with the Seattle Fire Department.

Fred was an avid golfer in his younger days and scored a certified "hole in one" on November 1st, 1989 at the Foster golf course in Tukwila, Washington. Fred liked to travel in his RV and ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle in his younger years, but most of all, he loved to dine out. He based his geographic directions on the location of his favorite restaurants!

Fred is survived by his wife Joy, son Mark Prather and his wife Paulette, son Gary Prather, and son Tim Prather and Tim’s wife, Jean. Stepson Scott Olmstead, Step daughter Brandi Deleon and her husband Gilbert, Stepdaughter Shannon Ayello and her husband, Greg.

Fred had four Grandchildren, Amanda, Alyssa, Nick and Ethan as well as two great grandchildren, Revan and Nolan.
