Frederick D. Sylvia, Jr. 61, of Auburn, NH, died October 27, 2004, at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island on November 5, 1942, the son of Louise (Smith) Sylvia and the late Frederick Sylvia and resided in Saugus, Ma. and Derry, NH and, before moving to Auburn three years ago. He was Past President of Lynn Park Softball Association in Lynn, Ma. and Past Coach and Manager of the Player’s Pub-Women Softball Team, Lynn, Ma. Frederick was an avid candlepin bowler at Lakeside Lanes in Manchester. He was an avid fisherman and was a Production Control Manager for G.E./Ametek for several years. Family members include his wife of 22 years, Jacqueline (Brown) Sylvia of Auburn, a son, Frederick D. Sylvia III of Ames, Iowa, two daughters; Deborah Duket of Baltimore, Maryland and Dawn Ryan of Reading, Ma., his mother of Saugus, Ma., two grandchildren Victoria and Nathan Duket, three sisters; Sandra Walls of Maui, Hawaii, Cathy O’Dell of Lynn, Ma. and Sheila Trun of Chelmsford, Ma., aunts, uncles, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. IN HIS LIFE he loved his camp and his women’s softball teams and going to fairs with his sister. SERVICES: Relatives and friends may call at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, on Monday from 3 to 5 PM and 6:30 to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes on Tuesday morning 9:30. Donations may be made in his memory, in lieu of flowers, to the American Cancer Society, 360 Route 101, Unit 501, Bedford, NH.
