Frederick P. Tognacci, 89, a longtime resident of Framingham and most recently Uxbridge, died Thursday, November 13, 2025 with his family by his side. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Gofredo T. & Enes C. (Romani) Tognacci, and the beloved husband of Barbara G. (Moretti) Tognacci for 67 years.
Fred was raised and educated in Framingham and started working at a young age at Gloria Product Store alongside his father and sister. He owned a Mobil Gas Station in Framingham for a number of years and served his community proudly on the Framingham Police Department for 20 years. While serving on the force, he and his buddies opened a health food store, as well as bought and sold cars. Never one to sit still, in his retirement from the police department, he went on to work as a parking commissioner at UMass Medical in Worcester for 29 years.
Fred was always sharply dressed and was a cigar aficionado. He enjoyed summers at the Cape house in Wareham, and later spending time with Barbara and neighbors at their new place in Dennis Port. He loved to travel with his cousins, and a passion for cooking. Fred was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Along with his wife Barbara, Fred is survived by his children, Donna, Michael & his wife Kathleen, Darlene Manning & her husband Michael, and Mark & his wife Jodi, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren with another on the way, his siblings, David, and Jean Marie Becker, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Fred was predeceased by his sister, Lorraine Dion.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Fred's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Norton, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. Framingham on Tuesday, November 18th from 4-7PM. Whenever I think of Fred, I'm always taken back to the time when I was just a little guy and I looked up to him so much, he was so cool. He was a police man! Police car, parked in the driveway. I can remember him standing out front of his house right beside the telephone pole making sure people weren't driving too fast! And of course, wrestling with him in the backyard of his home with Mike, Mark, Donna, and Darlene, good times. unfortunately it's been a while since I've had the opportunity to see and speak with Fred, but the memories that are ingrained in my mind when I was a little guy growing up are special!

I´m so very sorry to hear this. I´ll ways think of cousin Freddy as that handsome young cop that my high school girlfriends and I had such crushes on.
