Fredrick "Fred" Sykes Obituary
A Celebration of Life service for Fredrick "Fred" Sykes, age 75, of Clarksville, TN, will be Friday, October 4, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home with Pastor Darren Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
Fred was born on June 21, 1949, in Clarksville,TN to John and Ines Sykes. He passed away on September 30, 2024. Fred was a Vietnam Veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, and watching movies. Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother, and friend.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Sykes. Fred is survived by his loving wife, of 56 years, Sandra Conatser Sykes, children, Jason (Shirley) Sykes, Scott (Stacy) Sykes, grandchildren: Amanda (Darren) Clark, Kristen (Chris) Claxton, Allison (Phillip) Deason, and Brittany (Youngjun) Han, great- grandchildren: Rebekah, Jonathan, Charity, Jeremiah, Amber, Easton, Haylee, Amelia, and Olivia.
Pallbearers will be: Darren Clark, Youngjun Han, David Greer, and Carl Burns.
Honorary pallbearers will be Louie Swift and Stan Milanowski.
