Fredrick "Fred" Perkins, age 74, of Uniontown, passed away on September 19, 2025 at Arbors at Stow. He was born on October 9, 1950 to the late Arthur and Jean Perkins. He graduated in 1969 from Springfield High School before attending Wooster Community College.
Fred worked in construction and excavation for over 30 years before his retirement.
He was a member of Local Union 894. He enjoyed golfing and his Great Danes.
Fred is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Kitty; step-children, Marge Hochstetler and Mel (Carole) Garretson; grandchildren, Katie, Melanie (AJ) and Amber (Casey); great-grandchildren, Logan, Charlie, Chase, Avery and Violet; siblings, Roxanne (Norm) Linn and Lloyd Allen (Julie) Perkins; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher John Perkins and his granddaughter, Caroline Garretson.
Per Fred's wishes, cremation has taken place and the family has planned a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 1pm at his home on Manor Road.
