Mr. Fredrick James Shipp Sr., age 62, a resident of Williamsport, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025, surrounded by his family at his residence.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with burial to follow in Poplar Creek Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 24, 1962, in Nashville, Tennessee, Fredrick was the son of the late Bernard and Alethia Shipp. He enjoyed living a simple country lifestyle working on his family farm. He enjoyed pulling mules, and spending time with his precious grandchildren, and had a true servant’s heart, helping anyone in need. Fredrick was a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Fredrick leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Fredrick James Shipp Jr., daughter, Andrea Birdsong, brothers, Jackie Ray (Debbie) Shipp, Michael Shipp, Howard Edward (Elizabeth) Shipp, Cordell (Dollie) Shipp, sister, Theresa (David) Blake, grandchildren, Ayana Weaver, Fredrick (Trey) Shipp III, Jayla Birdsong, Miller Shipp, Remy Mooreland, the mother of his children, Kimberly Shipp, his significant other, April Wall, step daughter, Haley (Austin) Hall, step son, Jordan Mooreland, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son in law, Jarvis Birdsong, best friends, William Venson and Timothy Yokley,

Nephew will serve as pallbearers and nieces will serve as flower girls.
