Fredy Hernan Cordova M.D.

Fredy Hernan Cordova, MD, age 65 of Monticello, AR, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Cornerstone Specialty Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was born September 15, 1960, in Puno, Peru to the late Hernan Cordova and Rosa Contreras Cordova.

He studied organ and medicine in Montemorelos, Mexico before becoming a practicing Family Medicine Physician with Mainline Medical Clinic in Monticello. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Dr. Cordova enjoyed playing the piano where he studied in the music conservatory in Lima, Peru, gardening, cooking, swimming, camping and spending time in Bible study.

Survivors include his wife, Carmen Cordova; one daughter, Natalie Cordova; two sons, Joshua Cordova and Moises Cordova; one brother, Abel Cordova; and one sister, Silvia Cueva Cordova.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2025, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. There will be a visitation from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. preceding the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Joshua Cordova, Moises Cordova, Dr. Walter R. Plasencia, Dr. Victor Plasencia, Dr. Reuben Plasencia and Dr. Walter G. Plasencia.
