Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, January 15, 2024 at Union Hill Baptist Church, 299 Union Hill Drive, Forsyth, Georgia. Pastor Rufus J. Whatley officiating. Burial in Rest Haven Cemetery, 525 Hwy. 83 South, Forsyth, Georgia. Service is scheduled to be Streamed Live on our Facebook page.
Public viewing will be Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 2-6 PM. Keep the family in prayer.
Freeman High, Jr. was born April 13, 1952, in Monroe County to the late Janie Lou Stroud High and Freeman High Sr. He departed this life January 7, 2024, after a short stay in Monroe County Hospital.
He joined Union Hill Baptist Church at an early age. He was a 1970 graduate of Hubbard High School and was employed by Trio Manu factoring Company from 1968 until the company closed in 2008. He had worked his way up to being a machinist. He retired after the closing of the company.
He leaves to mourn one daughter: Shanika Letitia High; two grandchildren, Kameron Alford and Shaniya High; six step-grandchildren: Kierra Alford, Angel High, Jayden High, Miquala High, Audian Selph, and Zayden Selph; one sister, Lorene High Jackson of Forsyth, GA; one brother, Charlie Frank High (Annie) of Suffolk, VA; a devoted partner, Mary High and her two sons: Julius High and David High, Jr.; one deceased stepdaughter, Roxanne High; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
