Frieda B. Marsh

Frieda B. Marsh, 86, passed away Thursday morning, August 31, 2006. She was a resident of Greenwood. The daughter of Henry and Stella (Jenkins) Cooper, Frieda was born March 13, 1920 in Decatur County, IN. She married Orron Marsh on August 26, 1938. He preceded her in death December 21, 1975. Survivors include five sons, Norman Marsh of Indianapolis, Larry Marsh of Greenwood, Charles Marsh of Moore, OK, Gary Marsh of Greenwood, and Ken Marsh of Columbus; three daughters, Mary LaRue of Greenwood, Esther Hughes of Indianapolis, and Carol Bohn of Greenwood; four sisters, Lavon Forgey of Mooresville, Orla Vail Browning of Nashville, Sylvia Nicholson of Atlanta, GA, and Cletis Thompson of Jonesboro, GA; 25 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis Marsh and Frederick Allen Marsh; two brothers, Gordon Cooper and Garnet Cooper; and two sisters, Fern Cooper and Gladys Stone. She was employed as a housekeeper for many years for Regency Place of Greenwood and L.S. Ayers Department Store. Rev. Allen Pierce will officiate a funeral ceremony at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, September 2, at Wilson St.Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street. Calling will be on Friday from 5-9 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery.
