So many memories come flooding in when I give my self a minute to reflect. Camping and the big tornado that hit close to our campsite -- remember Honeymoon Haven? Late night hide and seek at the Schwartz house while our parents grilled steak and fed us something I can't remember, but, I know it was not steak! Collectively all those memories add up to an overwhelming sense of a life well lived. Uncle Fritz, as I have always called him--even in my '50-60' age range, was always so quick with a welcoming smile and a hug. He literally walked the talk with his faith. He invited my parents to Grace Church decades ago, which led to us growing up knowing Jesus and introducing Jesus to our own kids.
In the days to come, you will feel a deep sense of loss and ache that can't be described. 'Let yourselves cry knowing each tear is a not of love rising to heaven.'
