It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Gabriel Cobos Rubio, who left this world on July 16, 2025, at the age of 94. A devoted husband, proud father, and grandfather. Gabriel’s life was a testament to perseverance, love, and quiet strength.

Born on June 22, 1931, in Huejutla, Hidalgo, Mexico. Gabriel embodied the values of his heritage — hard work, resilience, and deep devotion to family. He spent his life building a better future for those he loved, never shying away from long days or heavy burdens. His hands carried the story of his tireless labor, and his heart carried the love of his family with equal determination.

Gabriel shared his life with his beloved wife, Balbina Cobos Cuervo, with whom he built a home and a family rooted in respect, laughter, and unwavering support. Together they raised three children who were the pride of his life: Rosalba Peláez, Carmela Cobos, and his son, Gabriel Cobos along with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He instilled in them the same work ethic, dignity, and love of family that defined his own life.

Gabriel’s journey from humble beginnings in Mexico to the legacy he leaves behind reflects his enduring character. He worked with his hands, led with his heart, and never forgot where he came from. His stories, his wisdom, and his quiet smile will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held to honor. If you would like to send flowers or condolences, you may send them to home address: 3602 Kingston Vale Dr. Houston, TX 77082.
