Gabriel Quentin Estabrook

Gabriel Quentin Estabrook, 46, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. He was born July 19, 1977, in Houlton, the son of William "Billy" J. Estabrook and Roberta M. LaBobe.
He worked odd jobs over his lifetime, mostly seasonal labor on local farms, tipping trees for wreathes, as well as gathering ash wood for baskets with his uncle and cousin.
He loved his many pets like family, often making sure they were fed before he ate himself. He enjoyed an occasional joint. He liked fishing, cribbage, chess, music, and cooking. He also liked to use his hands. He enjoyed crafting as a result. He had the personality of Shaggy from Scooby Doo, the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and a dash of Bevis and Butthead combined. These characteristics made up a goofy, upbeat, and fun-loving man. He was kind and giving. He would give the shirt off his back to his worst enemy if needed.
In addition to his mother, Roberta, Gabriel is survived by his children: Dillon, Charles, Tyler, Keyona, Dakota, and Kiara. He was predeceased by his father, William J. Estabrook
A sacred fire was tended to by the Maine's CISM Team and some family members over the course of four days. Friends and family visited the fire to say their goodbyes and prayers as well as offer condolences and prayers to the family.
Gabriel was cremated and his ashes returned to his mother's care.
He fought hard!
