Gail L. Bauer, age 92 of Potter, NE passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Kimball County Manor in Kimball, NE.
A private family graveside will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Kimball County Manor or the Potter Volunteer Fire Department.

Gail Louise (Grandma Gail) was born on April 18, 1932 at Kimball, NE to Herbert and Elizabeth Stevens. The Stevens family lived in Potter until 1936 when they moved to a farm East of the Point of Rocks. Gail attended school at Potter and graduated from Potter High School in 1950. She then worked at the American National Bank in Sidney, NE in the accounting department until she married Ervin V. Bauer on September 6, 1953. They began their life together on a farm north of Potter and she lived there until moving in January 2019. They had one son, Thomas.
Gail is survived by her son Thomas and wife Kathryn of Potter, NE, step grandson Nathan Horn and wife Amber of Gurley, NE, step grand-daughter Clover Newman and husband Brad of Yakima, WA, step grandson Cub Hoover of Vancouver, WA, nephew Herb Stevens and wife Teri of Sidney, NE, niece Janet Loghry of Kimball, NE plus several great grandchildren and grand nieces and nephews.
Gail was preceded in death by her husband Ervin, parents, brother Wesley Stevens and wife Doris, nephew Jeremy Barowsky, her father and mother-in-law, V.G. and Mary Bauer and brother-in-law Allan Bauer.
A special THANK YOU to all of the wonderful staff at Kimball County Manor for lovingly, caring for Gail for the past five and one-half years.
