Gail Carr Obituary
North Franklin – Gail Alice Carr, 83, of Forge Lane passed away Thursday February 26, 2026 at the W.W. Backus Hospital.
She was born March 9, 1942 in Southbridge, MA the daughter of Massimo and Vivian (Manderville) Osimo.
Gail graduated from Saint Francis School of Nursing and worked for over 30 years as a registered nurse at the Norwich State Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband David Carr and her parents.
Gail is survived by her son Scott Carr (Elana) of Jeannette, PA, daughter Jennifer Srednicki (Robert) of Norwich, and her beloved grandson Benjamin Srednicki. In addition to her brother Mark Osimo of Southbridge, MA.
Gail loved being outdoors and working in her yard. She would plant both flower and vegetable gardens. Additionally, she loved volunteering at the Bozrah Moose where she volunteered to work at breakfasts and dinners as a waitress, and played in various leagues. She was an avid traveler and loved going places and experiencing new and exciting things.
Calling hours will be Wednesday March 4, 2026 from 5 to 7 PM at the Cummings-Gagne Funeral Home 82 Cliff St. Norwich, CT. A graveside service will be Thursday at 10 AM at Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich.
