Gail Taylor Fisher Cison, 72, of Brevard, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2023. A native of Brevard, she was the daughter of the late Robert Vernon and Emma Sue Sitton Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen Ray Cison, and her brother Robert Vernon Taylor, Jr.
Gail worked in retail sales for many years around Brevard, last working for “Blast From the Past”, which she really enjoyed. She worked until she couldn’t.
She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW as well as the American Legion, glad to serve the veterans in the area. She also played the autoharp and the banjo, and love singing in the choir at Amazing Grace Baptist Church.
Her loving survivors include her daughters: Tina Marie Bayne of Lake Toxaway, Heather Renee Barton (Dwayne) of Hendersonville, and Margaret Ann Fisher of Brevard; grandchildren: Shelby McMullen, Taylor Joyce, Nichole Bayne, Colin Barton and Emma Barton; great-grandchildren: Penelope Joyce, Samuel Joyce and Finnick McMullen; her sister, Bobbie Jean Saltz; her uncle, Donald Sitton (Vickie) and her little dog, Bitty.
Funeral Services for Gail Cison will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 2, 2023 in the chapel of Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations with interment to follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time for the service.
