Gail Lynn Hughes, 76, of Princeton, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 17, 1949.


Gail was cherished for her warm spirit, gentle strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She touched countless hearts with her kindness, generosity, and the quiet wisdom she offered throughout her life. Her comforting presence, compassion, and steady love made her a source of strength and warmth to all who knew her.


Gail is survived by her loving husband, Michael Hughes; her mother, Betty Welborn; her daughters, Tracie Tidwell and her husband Richard Tidwell of Merit, Angie Rocha and husband Hernan Rocha of Plano and daughter in law Angie Paysinger of Princeton; son : Mikey III, her beloved grandchildren, Kelsey, Kendal, Jacob, Dillon, and Corbin; and her siblings: Larry Welborn and his wife Susie Welborn of Georgetown, David Welborn and his wife Kathy Welborn of Princeton, Karen Wright and her husband Michael Wright of Princeton, Stephen Welborn and his wife Rhonda Welborn of Princeton, and her cousin that is more like a sister, Sueanne White. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Welborn, and her son, Michael Hughes II.


A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 511 Jefferson Ave, Princeton, Texas 75407. Flowers or donations can be sent to the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. on the day of the service.


Gail will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
