Gail McErlean Obituary
Gail worked for 30 years as a dental assistant. She also took care of her parents for the last 5 years of their lives in Brussels, a town she fondly loved. Gail was married for 20 years to Thomas McErlean in Chicago, Illinois. She was devoted to her parents and family. Gail had a great life, she loved her family, Fleetwood Mac, and her two cats, Silver and Peanut.
Gail is survived by her sister, Carol Zuder; brother, James Splingaire; two nieces, Jennifer Pearce and her children, Audrey, Samantha, and Josephyne; and Taylor Splingaire; two nephews, Nick Schneider, and his wife Nicole, their children, Vinny, Emma, Benjamin, and Reagan; and Connor Splingaire. She was preceded by her parents.
A time of remembrance and sharing will be held at 11am at Wave Pointe in Little Sturgeon on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Burial will be in Stevenson Cemetery just before at 10am.

My fondest memories of cousin Gail include her ready smile and fun laughter, her deep love of family and family history, and that sparkle in her eyes. Loved our visits! My deepest sympathies to Jimmy, Carol and the rest of her family. I am so very sorry I will not be able to attend her memorial as I will be out of town, but know that I will be thinking of you and Gail and sending hugs to you across the miles. Marcia Brockman

One of a kind. Gail was.
Highly independent and very interesting -if you took the time to get to know her. (Which I did, late in her life on this planet).
Not at all sorry for meeting this one-of-a-kind individual that I'm sorry no one will ever get to meet again. One on one.
