She was a oner.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of nearly 60 years, Michael Craig Moyers (Bluffton, SC), her son, Brent William Moyers (Stamford, CT & Walpole, NH), her daughter, Amy Eloise Moyers-Knopp & Darryl Knopp (Okatie, SC), grandchildren Cameron, Brooke and Lila Moyers (Stamford, CT) as well as all of the Wilkes’ and Moyers’ in-laws, nephews, nieces and cousins across New England, the northeast, midwest, midsouth, Texas and California.

She had the energy of a small sun and the ability to make people around her feel significant and loved. She will always be remembered for her charisma, positivity and selflessness. And she will be forever missed on the softball pitch, pickleball courts as well as the golf course. An amazing athlete right up until the end, Gail inspired all those around her with her abilities - and yet humble through it all. In addition to her athleticism, she was known for her pure joy of all animals… but especially her cats. She saved many cats (and dogs) throughout her life and this was a constant source of happiness for her. We like to think she will be met by all the animals she helped along the way.

Most importantly, she was the loving foundation of her family and an extraordinarily big-hearted person to her many friends from all walks of life.

No challenge too daunting, no burden too large to affect her trajectory through this life. This is probably the first occasion for her to leave anything undone. And she will be deeply missed - and always a part of our hearts.
