Gail Pistone

Gail Pistone, age 77, passed away at Bayshore Medical Center on Friday, March 29, 2024. Gail was born and raised on Manhattan's East Side. She would move with her husband and daughter to Hazlet, NJ in 1986, where she would live for the remainder of her life.
She was whip smart, kind, loyal, and very silly. She would amuse her daughter and later her granddaughter by giving voices to the animals in their lives. It did not matter if they were real or stuffed. She loved gardening, painting, and her family. She would provide colorful commentary if you were blessed enough to watch a sporting event with her. She touched many lives and was beloved by many. She will be forever missed.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Pistone in 2023.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Victoria and Donald Pacheco, and her beloved granddaughter Carmen Rose. She is also survived by the following: her sister Miriam Schindel, Aaron Schindel (spouse), her nephew Jake Schindel, Megan Schindel (spouse) and their children Neil and Margo; her niece Rebecca Moskovitz, Ian Moskovitz (spouse) and their child Max; her brother Frank Ramos, Elisa Ramos (spouse), her nieces Jessica Boyer, Elana Ramos, Remi Conard, and Chris Conard (spouse). She is also survived by her brother in law Dominick Pistone and Mary Burke Pistone (spouse).
A Memorial Visitation will be held this Thursday, April 4th from 12pm - 3pm at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown NJ.
A Memorial Service will be offered on Friday, April 5th at 10am at St. Mary Mother of God Church, Middletown NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations for the Cardiothoracic Surgical Intensive Care Unit at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia, in memory of Gail Pistone, be mailed to the NYP Development Office, 850 3rd Ave, 12th Floor, New York, NY 10022.
